
At Daviess Community Hospital (DCH), we celebrate the compassion, dedication, and skill of our nurses through the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. This international recognition program honors nurses who provide exceptional, compassionate care every day.
The DAISY Foundation was established in 1999 by the family of J. Patrick Barnes, who passed away from complications of an autoimmune disease. Deeply touched by the care and kindness shown by nurses during Patrick’s hospitalization, his family created the DAISY Award as a meaningful way to say “thank you” to nurses everywhere.
