Job Shadowing & Internships

DCH offers a variety of internship and shadowing opportunities for students interested in clinical and non-clinical healthcare careers. • After reading the Orientation Handbook, fill out and turn in the Receipt & Acknowledgement Form and the Handbook Quiz. Both can be found at the end of the Orientation Handbook.
• Records Acknowledgment Form - signed by an authorized representative from your educational institution
• Confidentiality Statement
• Student Demographic Form
• Approval Checklist
• Immunization records

Daviess Community Hospital provides a wide range of certification and skills training for healthcare professionals.

• Skills Day for Nurses - DCH hosts Skills Days for nurses to refresh and expand their clinical knowledge. These events provide hands-on practice with essential nursing procedures, patient care techniques, and the latest industry standards.
• Telemetry Courses - Our Telemetry Courses train future telemetry technicians in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation, providing the knowledge and skills necessary for real-time patient monitoring.

Tuition Assistance

DCH encourages employees to continue their education and professional development through tuition reimbursement programs and continuing education opportunities.

• Part-Time Employees (FTE 0.4 – 0.7): 60% reimbursement, up to $1,000/year.
• Undergraduate Study (FTE 0.75 – 1.0): 80% reimbursement, up to $3,000/year.
• Graduate School Study (FTE 0.75 – 1.0): 80% reimbursement, up to $4,000/year.
