About Brandon
Brandon Johnson, MOT, OTR, LAT, ATC, CHT, brings a rare combination of credentials and expertise to the CORE Center at Daviess Community Hospital. As one of fewer than 7,000 certified hand therapists worldwide, Johnson holds a distinction that required thousands of hours of upper extremity care and passing a rigorous exam with a 50% pass rate. He also holds credentials as both an occupational therapist and certified athletic trainer.
Since joining DCH in 2012, Johnson has led the occupational therapy team at CORE, where he evaluates and treats patients with orthopedic, neurologic, pediatric, and ergonomic conditions. He also serves as clinical education coordinator for rehabilitation services and provides outreach and supportive athletic training services throughout the region.
Johnson earned his associate degrees from Vincennes University, a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Indiana State University, and a master's degree in occupational therapy from the University of Indianapolis. His commitment to excellence was recognized through multiple academic awards, including the Student Athletic Trainer of the Year honors and a university research award for his work on animal-assisted therapy.
At CORE, Johnson specializes in certified hand therapy, custom splinting, and athletic recovery, offering a total-body approach to healing and performance.
A Vincennes resident and Barr-Reeve High School graduate, Johnson enjoys spending time outdoors and coaching youth sports. He and his wife, Katie, have one son and one daughter.
