About Karen
Karen Zehr-Miller, MSW, LCSW, is an Indiana Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than three decades of diverse experience, currently serving in the Behavioral Health Department at Daviess Community Hospital. Specializing in nursing home services, she provides comprehensive mental health evaluations and treatments for residents, addressing the unique emotional and psychological needs of seniors.
Karen's extensive career includes dedicated service in hospice care, offering compassionate support to terminally ill patients and their families. She has significant experience in geriatric behavioral health, foster care support, and the supervision and training of social workers in licensed foster care settings. Her roles have encompassed direct care and administrative oversight, including managing a senior rest home and coordinating mental health services across multiple facilities and in patients' homes.

She also served nearly three decades as a program manager, where she supervised foster care social workers and trained foster parents for children with special needs.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Karen has been an active animal advocate, serving on the Board of Directors for PAWS Animal Shelter in Petersburg, Indiana, since 2001.
