About Katherine
Katherine Gerren, LSW, CAPRC II, CSPR-CL, is a dedicated provider with Daviess Community Hospital (DCH) Behavioral Health, as well as a leader of DCH's Peer Recovery Services. Katherine holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern Indiana and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Indiana State University, where she graduated with honors.
At DCH Behavioral Health, Katherine, specializing in child and adolescent therapy, provides individualized therapeutic interventions for clients ages 4 to 18, utilizing specialized modalities including Sand Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma-focused care. Katherine is experienced in facilitating family therapy sessions, creating programs tailored to underserved populations, and fostering vital community partnerships.
At DCH Peer Recovery Services, Katherine is the Program Manager. She is a Certified Supervisor of Peer Recovery - Clinical and a Certified Addiction Peer Recovery Coach (CAPRC II).
Katherine's prior roles in the behavioral health field have equipped her with extensive experience in community mental health, substance use disorder treatment practice, research, and program development. Her leadership and administrative skills are demonstrated through previous positions as an office administrator and store manager.
Committed to continuous professional development, Katherine holds certifications in EMDR, Sand Therapy, Moral Recognition Therapy, Anti-Racism Training, and LGBTQ+ Allyship Training. Additionally, she is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW).
