About Nathan
Nathan Sterling, MS, LAT, ATC, is a certified athletic trainer with Daviess Community Hospital’s CORE Center. A Vincennes native, Sterling has dedicated his career to injury prevention, emergency care, and rehabilitation for student-athletes and active individuals throughout southwestern Indiana. He has served as the athletic trainer for Barr-Reeve High School since 2020, while also supporting other school programs during his tenure, including Vincennes University and Pike Central High School.
Sterling holds a Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Indianapolis and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Evansville. During his undergraduate studies, he also studied abroad at Harlaxton College in England. Known for his compassionate and responsive care, Sterling plays an essential role in the athletic training team at CORE, providing sideline support, rehabilitation planning, and community education on sports safety.
He is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and the Indiana Athletic Trainer’s Association. His leadership and commitment have helped guide athletes through injury recovery and safe return to activity, particularly at Barr-Reeve, where he contributed to multiple state championship seasons.
Sterling resides in Vincennes, Indiana, and brings a passion for youth mentorship and sports health to every school, workplace, or event he serves.
