Valerie Dyer, FNP joins Washington Surgical Associates
Daviess Community Hospital and Washington Surgical Associates are pleased to welcome Nurse Practitioner, Valerie Dyer, to the general surgery practice. Valerie graduated from Western Governors University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and her Master of Science Nurse Practitioner from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2020. While pursuing her Master’s degree, she continued to work as a registered nurse. She has over ten years of acute care and clinical experience in gastroenterology and medical-surgical care.
Valerie is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International (Honor Society of Nursing).
Valerie is an experienced patient educator with strong organizational skills,developed leadership ability, and a collaborative team-based
philosophy to patient care. She is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and offers patients personalized attention and education to help them manage their health.
As a family nurse practitioner, Valerie is licensed to see adolescents and adults of all ages. As a nurse practitioner, she is able to diagnose medical conditions and prescribe medications, along with ordering and interpreting lab work and diagnostic imaging.
Valerie and her husband reside in Plainville, Indiana. She is excited to be practicing close to home. In her spare time, Valerie enjoys spending time with family, reading, and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
