Daviess Community Hospital (DCH) celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting of its new Clinic of Jasper, 4115 Mannheim Road, on Monday, October 7, marking a significant milestone in the hospital’s ongoing commitment to expanding healthcare services in the region. The event drew numerous community members and local leaders, including Nancy Eckerle, Director of the Jasper Chamber of Commerce, and physicians from the clinic.
In her remarks, Tracy Conroy, CEO of Daviess Community Hospital, emphasized the importance of the new clinic in providing healthcare options to the growing Jasper community. “We have reached a very important milestone in our continued expansion of healthcare services with the opening of this clinic here in Jasper,” Conroy stated. “This clinic will provide a range of comprehensive services to the community, allowing us to better meet local healthcare needs.”
Conroy also highlighted two essential words that reflect the clinic’s mission: choice and trust. “DCH wants to offer those who live and work in the Jasper area a choice—high-quality, accessible healthcare right here, close to home. And we are committed to earning your trust through the exceptional care we provide,” she added.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony also featured remarks from Nancy Eckerle, who spoke about Jasper’s rapid growth and the importance of increased healthcare options. “We are a growing community—at one time, Jasper was a town of 10,000, and now we’ve grown to about 17,000. The growth is here, and the opportunity is here. Thank you, Daviess Community Hospital, for locating here,” Eckerle said.
All four clinic physicians—Dr. Kris Gunn (urology), Dr. Marcus Kurucz and and Dr. Megan Stevenson (general surgery), and Dr. Anna M. Lamb (primary care)—were present at the event to meet with attendees and provide tours of the new facility. Each physician is not only dedicated to providing exceptional care but also deeply connected to the community, having lived and worked in the area.
The ribbon cutting was followed by an open house, where guests were treated to catering by Café Pina of Jasper, and attendees had the chance to learn more about the clinic’s services and team.
The new Clinic of Jasper is a key part of Daviess Community Hospital’s mission to improve healthcare access throughout the region, and the hospital is eager to serve the healthcare needs of the Jasper community.
