Daviess Community Hospital Receives Obstetric and Neonatal Level of Care II Certifications

Daviess Community Hospital (DCH) is proud to announce that it has met the rigorous standards required to be designated as an Obstetrical Level of Care II and a Neonatal Level of Care II facility, as certified by the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH). This certification, effective from September 23, 2024, through September 23, 2027, underscores DCH's commitment to providing high-quality, risk-appropriate care to women and infants in our community.

The recertification survey, conducted by the IDOH's Maternal and Child Health Division on September 11, 2024, found that DCH continues to meet the required standards for both obstetric and neonatal care. This recognition ensures that Daviess Community Hospital remains equipped to handle higher-risk pregnancies and neonatal needs that require specialized care. The certification process assesses a hospital’s capacity to provide comprehensive care for both mothers and infants, and DCH has demonstrated that it has the resources, expertise, and dedication to meet these critical healthcare needs.

“Receiving this certification is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire perinatal care team,” said Tracy Conroy, CEO of Daviess Community Hospital. “We take great pride in ensuring that our patients have access to the highest quality care, and this certification reaffirms our hospital's commitment to the health and well-being of mothers and babies in our region.”

The Indiana Department of Health emphasized the importance of multidisciplinary education in delivering safe and effective perinatal care, and Daviess Community Hospital continues to support ongoing education for its perinatal team, reinforcing the hospital's commitment to providing high-quality care for mothers and infants.
