Daviess Community Hospital is offering American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training for healthcare professionals who need to obtain or renew their ACLS certification. This course builds on Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, providing advanced training in recognizing and managing respiratory and cardiac emergencies, effective resuscitation techniques, and team dynamics in critical situations.
Who Should Take This Course?
ACLS certification is required for healthcare professionals who manage or participate in emergency cardiovascular care, including:
- Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers
- Nurses
- EMS Personnel
- Respiratory Therapists
- Critical Care and Emergency Department Staff
Course Options & Schedule – 2025
ACLS for New or Inexperienced Providers (Two-Day Course)
Designed for those who are new to ACLS or need a comprehensive refresher.
Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (both days)

- November 10-11
ACLS for Experienced Providers (One-Day Course)
For individuals proficient in ACLS skills, ECG interpretation, and emergency cardiac care management.
Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

- November 11
Course Content
Participants will learn:
- High-quality CPR and early defibrillation
- Recognition and management of cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes
- ACLS pharmacology and interventions
- Effective communication and leadership in emergency response
