The hospital's in house Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) uses radiofrequency waves and a strong magnetic field rather than x-rays to provide clear and detailed pictures of internal organs and tissues. MRI is valuable for the diagnosis of a many pathologic conditions including cancer, heart and vascular disease, stroke, and joint disorders.
This test is a full body scan that creates images of the body’s soft tissue and organs. Instead of radiation, MRIs use radiofrequency waves and a strong magnetic field to obtain images, making it a common test to check the progression of cancer. The MRI test is most often used in the diagnosis of cancer, heart and vascular disease, stroke, and joint disorders. Our MRI services are available Monday-Friday starting at 8:30 a.m.
