Welcome to the Sleep Disorders Center of Daviess Community Hospital, where we specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide range of sleep disorders. Our sleep lab is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), reflecting our commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Since 1977, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) has set the gold standard for sleep medicine accreditation. Our accreditation demonstrates our dedication to meeting these rigorous standards and delivering exceptional care to our patients.
The most effective way to diagnose a sleep disorder is through an overnight sleep study. At our state-of-the-art sleep lab, you will stay in a comfortable, private room designed to help you relax. During the study, noninvasive devices will monitor your vital signs, ensuring a thorough and painless evaluation.
We understand that sleeping in a new environment with monitoring devices can be challenging. Our team ensures that all equipment is as noninvasive as possible, helping you feel at ease. Many patients find they can sleep comfortably despite the initial unfamiliarity.
Maggie Piel is a licensed Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). She is dedicated to supporting patients from Daviess and surrounding communities, whether they are undergoing home study setups or in-hospital overnight sleep testing. Maggie's expertise is integral to maintaining our AASM accreditation status.
