
Daviess Community Hospital’s Women’s Health Center is located on the second floor. We offer a variety of healthcare programs and services to address the specific needs of women at every life stage. From your childbearing years through menopause and beyond, we're committed to helping you stay well and live well.
We provide a "family centered" approach to the birthing process that begins before the birth of the baby and continues after discharge from the hospital. We offer expectant parent classes for parents and families to prepare for the birth and care of the baby. Mothers have a choice of pain control options during their delivery and spacious birthing rooms where fathers and other family members can be present are available.
Daviess Community Hospital is recognized by the National Safe Sleep Hospital
Certification Program as a Silver Level, for their commitment to best

The National Safe Sleep Hospital Certification Program was created by Cribs for Kids®, the only national infant safe sleep organization. Based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cribs for kids are dedicated to preventing infant sleep-related deaths due to accidental suffocation. As a Nationally Certified Safe Sleep Hospital, Daviess Community Hospital is recognized for following the safe sleep guidelines recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and providing training programs for healthcare team members, and family caregivers.
DCH has also been recognized for Excellence in Infant and Maternal Health
by the Indiana Hospital Association. The
INspire Hospital of Distinction recognition is based on the implementation of best practices in six key areas, including infant safe
sleep, breastfeeding, tobacco prevention and cessation, perinatal substance
use, obstetric hemorrhage, and maternal hypertension.
If not, visit our partner providers from Heartland OB GYN (http://heartlandobgyn.com) . These highly experienced obstetricians and gynecologists are located next to the hospital and provide on-call services for Daviess Community Hospital to handle baby deliveries and emergency situations.

Daviess Community Hospital is committed to providing the best in labor care, and to giving your baby a happy, healthy start in life. Every mom and baby are different and our goal is to help you both have the most fulfilling experience possible.
Perinatal Navigator Services
Perinatal care starts when your OB-GYN identifies a health concern with
mother or baby during the pregnancy. If your pregnancy is considered a
High-risk Pregnancy, contact our Perinatal Navigator office, at

Milk Depot and Milk Express Site
Daviess Community Hospital is proud to be a Milk Depot/Milk Express Site
in partnership with The Milk Bank, making milk donation convenient and
increasing access to pasteurized milk for families.
Pediatric Hospitalist -
Miranda Schneider, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, specializing in newborn and pediatric care.
She has over 15 years of experience in Newborn Intensive care, OB, and
routine newborn and pediatric care. For the past 5 years she served as
the lead Nurse Practitioner for Good Samaritan Hospital’s level
II nursery. At Daviess Community Hospital, she will be combining her passion
for teaching and newborn intensive care as she helps expand the Women’s
Health Center to a level II nursery. The hospital will now be able to
provide care for infants that require more than just routine care, such
as those babies that are moderately ill, premature, or have other health issues.
